ENTRY GUIDELINES:
• Shows are open to members in good standing; membership will be validated at submission.
• Entries must be original.
• Artists must label their media and methods accurately.
• Substandard presentation may be disqualified.
• Juror and/or Gallery Chairpersons have final authority to define what constitutes an acceptable entry.
Eligible Media: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Ink, Pencil, Mixed Media, Collage, Printmaking, Photography, Sculpture, Pottery, Mosaic, Fiber, etc.
Not Eligible: Wet pieces; work previously accepted at Sewell Mill Library; renderings
of the works of others; work done in classes or workshops including online; gicleés of original paintings; installations; videos. No nudes accepted.
Framing Requirements: All work must be securely framed using appropriate materials.
• Mats must be white or off-white.
• All work must have securely fastened hanging wire on D-Rings — no saw tooth hangers or eye screws.
• Stretched canvases must be framed if depth is less than 1 inch. Edges of gallery-wrapped canvases MUST be painted.
• Works on paper must be securely matted or floated under glass, Plexiglas, or plastic boxes.

• If an accepted work comes apart due to poor framing it may be removed from the exhibit.
Size and Weight Limits:
• 2-D: maximum 50 inches on any one side and 25 pounds.
• 3-D: maximum 48 inches high with or without stand, maximum 50 pounds; ‘foot-print’
of 2.5 feet square. The floor may be used for display to minimize lifting by volunteers.
Acceptance Notices: Acceptances will be posted on the website 2 days following the last day of online submissions. Please do not call the Gallery.
Art Sales: Artist retains 70% of any sale; Sewell Mill Library receives 30%.
Art Pick-Up Schedule: Work must be picked up within 2 weeks of closing; otherwise it may become the property of AAC.
